Time to find fab plus size swimwear

I don’t know about you but all this cold weather is making me dream about summer holidays.

Now’s the time to be on the look out for great swimwear – I’ve been looking around and here’s my pick of the best.

This bikini top has a lovely print and is available up to size 40F from Marks and Spencer.

This classic Speedo Claudezine swimsuit is elegant and practical, and is available up to bra size 44 from John Lewis.

I love this playsuit from Beach2Beach – it’s great if you want to catch some sun but want to keep some parts covered.  Up to size 32 from Simply Be.

This Silhouette swimsuit is really well designed for curvier girls with Princessline shaping, tummy control and shelf bra. It’s available from Simply Yours up to size 32 and is also available in a longer length.

Wow – this Miraclesuit is the ultimate shape control swimsuit, available from JD Williams up to size 26 in this gorgeous summery turquoise.

This Silhouette blouson two-piece swimsuit is so flattering.  The top is loose fitting with detachable straps and the bottoms are a really flattering cut.  Available from Marisota up to size 32.

I am in love with this Joe Brown bikini from Simply Be.  It is so cheerful and summery and if you feel like flaunting your curves and frolicking in the surf, this is definitely the bikini for you.

The detail on this Trinny & Susannah kaftan is beautiful.  It’s available from Littlewoods up to size 24.

This Seaspray Casablanca ruched swimsuit is available from Long Tall Sally up to size 24.  The ruching draws the eye to your bust and away from your tummy – result!

This pretty Lascana underwired tankini also comes in turquoise and brown.  It has integral underwiring and a flattering A-line shape.  It’s from Freemans up to size 28.

Bargain – this swimsuit from George is only £12 and the button detailing at the front is really pretty.  Up to size 24.

Next has a wide range of really nice sandals up to size 43.

These gladiators from Viva la Diva come in a range of width fittings up to EEE and size 9 – and they’re only £25!

Viva la Diva also have a great value wide range of sunglasses, like these Gwen style sunnies, a snap at £15.  Check out the full range.

Gymophobics – at last!

Finally, a gym that focusses on those of us who could really do with losing a few pounds!

Normal gyms can be really intimidating and if you’re bigger you feel like you really stand out.  But at Gymophobics, a ladies only franchise, the emphasis is on ladies who have had issues with their weight and self-esteem.

When you sign up you get a health check and regular weight and measurements thereafter so you can really see your progress.  Sometimes you won’t have lost any weight but you could have lost a couple of inches round your waist which spurs you on to keep going.

Me and my mum have both started going to our local Gymophobics and are really enjoying it.  The workout is tailored to your needs and lasts 30 minutes.  You don’t get sweaty as the exercises are designed to tone.  The staff are really friendly and there is a real feeling of camaraderie amongst all the other (normal!) ladies that go.

And if you need gym gear, have a look at Simply Be, they have a good selection.
